Description
The mission

Goal
Project aim
The Suðurnes Science and Learning Center frequently hosts educational trips for children, and our goal was to spark their interest in the museum, enrich their experiences, and stimulate their curiosity. We embraced this challenge with enthusiasm.

Illustrations
World building
At the start of the project, the game concept was still developing. Initial character ideas and a rough educational outline were provided by the client. In collaboration with the Suðurnes Science and Learning Center, a colorful and engaging world was created—defining environments, characters, and gameplay. The cast includes Fróðleiks-Fúsi, Vísinda-Linda, RostunGulli, clever ravens Reyn and Rýn, biologist Carl von Linné, and Lína Appelsína, who guide players and share fun animal facts throughout the game.

Accessability
The characters
To make the game accessible for young users, it was centered around an interactive map inspired by the Science and Learning Center’s layout. This map features colorful illustrated animals that children can compare to real exhibits, guided by Fúsi and friends. The design focused on clarity and visual appeal for tablet screens. With the vibrant world in place, the next phase involved creating 61 animal illustrations and refining the overall gameplay to highlight Iceland’s diverse wildlife.
