The mission
We made complex calculations clear and actionable, helping event organizers explore choices, compare emissions, and see how small changes like swapping food menu items can make a real difference.
UX DESIGN
Built for curiosity
The calculator invites exploration. Users can play with different event configurations such as venue size, catering options, and transportation to see how each impacts the total carbon footprint. It’s quick to try, easy to reset, and built to make sustainability approachable, not overwhelming.
VISUAL DESIGN
Serious data, playful feel
Working within Advania’s existing brand, we designed an interface that feels friendly and engaging, without losing credibility. Bold colors, iconography, and clean layouts make complex comparisons intuitive. Charts and results are easy to digest and even a little fun, giving sustainability a fresh, accessible face.
DEVELOPMENT
Where design meets logic
We collaborated with Advania’s internal dev team to bring the tool to life. Powered by a vast dataset and complex algorithms, the calculator estimates emissions based on event details. We ensured the design fit seamlessly into the platform, that user flows and questions felt natural, and that results were both accurate and easy to understand—all while staying true to Advania’s style, with just the right touch of personality.
